There are many advantages of high density can liners. These liners are about 3 times stronger and more durable than ordinary polyethylene liners of the same thickness. The new HMW/HD liners require two thirds less petroleum based raw materials to manufacture; therefore, they are only one third the thickness of an ordinary liner bag but much stronger and more temperature resistant. When looking for liners, look for the MICRON rating not the millage. These bags are natural color and range from 6 microns to 16 microns in thickness.
