DESCRIPTION

Make sure your restrooms meet ADA requirements with our 9201 series Grab Bars. Bobrick Grab Bars are made from 1-1/2" stainless steel tubing with concealed anchors and fasteners. All grab bars mount 1-1/2" from the wall, support 900 pounds and meet or exceed ADA compliance.

ADA Guidelines:
- Grab bar diameter should be 1-1/4" to 1-1/2" with 1-1/2" clearance
from the wall
- Grab bars should not rotate in their fittings
- The required mounting height is universally 33" to 36" from the
centerline of the grab bar to the finished floor.
- The structural strength of all grab bars and their mounting
devices should withstand more than 250 lbs of force (1112N)
- For all Barrier-Free toilet compartments, individual toilet rooms
and guest bathrooms, it is recommended that a 36" minimum
horizontal grab bar be installed on the back wall over the toilet
and a 42" minimum horizontal grab bar be installed on the
side wall or partition nearest the toilet. This can also be
accomplished with a single horizontal two-wall grab bar
(B-68137 - comes with concealed mounting and peened surface).
