| This item is a piece of steel with tabs and bends in it, and consists of the following | : starting from the right as it faces you: |
| - A top right vertical tab that points down. It has a padlock hole | |
| and a concave cutout for the finger to fit into | |
| - An upper horizontal section, which houses a bumper that reduces | |
| the sound of the lift hitting the door frame when it raises up | |
| - A left vertical mounting section, which has a tab that locks into | |
| the lock bar, and underneath it, a mounting hole for securing the | |
| lift to the lockbar with a rivet or screw (manufacturer uses as | |
| rivet) | |
| - Off the left vertical section is a combinatin lock stop tab. | |
| When a combinatin lock is used and its bolt is in the locked, | |
| or out position, it rests just above this lift's tab. The lift | |
| cannot be raised up until the combination lock bolt is unlocked | |
| and turned back in, out of the lift's way. | |
| - A lower piece that bends a downward 40 degree angle u | |
